Sing-along Summer Sundays

July 3rd – August 28th

Beginning July 3rd – we begin our summer sing-along services. We plan to sing your favourite hymns and sacred songs – you just have to tell us what they are. The back cover of your bulletins starting June 12th is designed to do just that. So please start your hymn requests coming in. Just a reminder – songs/hymns don’t need to be from the Book of Praise – if we have enough notice we can find the words and music to just about any sacred song you care to mention. Messages over the summer will focus on Christian life.

Cool Summer Praise III

July 6th – August 31st

Midweek summer services started in 2009 for a few reasons.

• People tend to be away – at cottages, trailers, on boats – on summer weekends. CSP provides an opportunity to meet and worship in the summer during the week
• To develop a repertoire of contemporary, tent-meeting and camp-fire songs to enjoy and to encourage musicians among us to participate - the “praise” part of CSP.
• To use the William Wallace Memorial Hall as a worship space as it can be air-conditioned (unlike the sanctuary) - the “cool” part of CSP.

This summer we’ll be talking about Creation, particularly our responsibility for God’s Earth, for the first half of the summer; then discussing Science and Religion for the second half.
